Early Musical Experiences
First started playing on pots and pans and empty trash cans when I
was a kid. Got my first kit when I was about 10, it was a red,
three-piece sparkle Stewart with no stands. But, it mysteriously
disappeared about two months later. I guess someone in the house
couldn't take the noise . . .
Then when I was 13 I got a halfway decent, new kit, played that
until I trashed it, and have been playing ever since.
Influences on My Musical Style
Sabbath, Zeppelin, Stones, Grand Funk Railroad, Pink Floyd, Van Halen (with Roth),
Rush, AC/DC, Iron Maiden and Metallica.
Favorite Musical Artists
John Bonham, Bill Ward, Neil Peart, Keith Moon, Mitch Mitchell and Charlie Watts
Musical Instruments/Equipment I Use
Drum Workshop collectors kit (home and in the studio) - black satin with gold hardware.
Lately, I've been using my original 1965 Champagne Sparkle Ludwig kit with Paiste cymbals.
Vater Manhattan 7A sticks.
Previous Bands
Various local garage bands, Equinox, Jealous Rage, Scalawag
Musical Ambition
To sweat and have a lot of fun doing it!
Recent Musical Accomplishment
The recording of our album (The Holy Goats) and growing together with my
bandmates.
Favorite Goat Song/Reason
Keep it Rollin'. Every time I play or hear it, I get the feeling
I'm in a '69 Goat, hauling ass down the highway, passing cars as
if they were standing still. In other words, I get the need for speed!
