Influences on My Musical Style
I was seduced early on by the Beatles/British Invasion & there was no lookin’ back! R&B/Soul/Motown/Philly, & “black” music hugely influenced the way I would approach rock-n-roll. As a kid, it was a revelation when I realized that my musical heroes were taking r&b, soul, & blues, recycling it with an edge, & giving it back!

Beatles, Rascals, Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Janice Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Stones, Cream, Humble Pie, Deep Purple, SRV, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Billy Joel, Bryan Adams, Tom Petty,Van Halen, Guns & Roses, Steely Dan, Tower Of Power, Count Basie, Black Crowes, Sly & The Family Stone, early Allman Brothers, & Grand Funk Railroad to name a few!

Favorite Goat Song/Reason
Wow, that’s difficult, because truly, there isn’t a bad song in the repertoire! Probably “ Clear” & “Temptation”. “Clear” because of the atmospheric quality, poignant lyrics, catchy hook, & strong soulful melody. Also, there’s a subtle guitar line that reminds me of a Beatles song :) “Temptation” because it’s groovy, sexy, & fun!

Miscellaneous Opinions
My drumming style pretty much reflects my life philosophy–“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication”. Laying down a serious groove with the front line shakin’ & smilin’ - well it doesn’t get any better than that! I feel very fortunate to be a “Goat”, & look forward to making music with such a fun & talented band----
